Susan Lucci coming to the MOA

Blackmail! Secret babies! Murder! Well, Susan Lucci's autobiography may not read quite as dramatically as her character Erica Kane on All My Children - the most famous soap opera character EVER - her life story is still more interesting than most. She'll be shopping her new memoir, All My Life, at the Mall of America on April 2 at 1 p.m. in the Best Buy Rotunda.

Video: "Crank Dat Gopherboy"

We just stumbled across this hilariously bad YouTube video on Lords of Apathy blog, which has this to say: "Sometimes I see/ hear something that's so embarrassingly shitty that it sends chills down my spine. This is one of those times." 'Nuff said.

Explore Minnesota with Solid Gold and Joe Mauer

We looove the Explore Minnesota’s new TV spot featuring Solid Gold and Joe Mauer, amongst other (less famous) characters. Watch out for the guy who says "nothing rhymes with capita" and the guy who pulls of the perfect Buster Keaton stunt.

Tell us how you really feel about this weather

We laughed so hard while reading comments on this post on Pioneer Press Facebook page. It is a simple question: What single word would you use to describe today's weather?

Some comments are obvious, but some are just plain nonsense (read:awesome). Our favorite must be "Uncle". We have no idea where that one came from. Strong contenders for second and third favorite would be "TWINS" and "lamb?"

MPLS Instagram Meetup

The hottest iPhone photo app of the moment must be Instagram. You know, the one that makes your friends' photos look like they were shot with a Polaroid camera. Trust us, it's cool. Accordingly, it was only a matter of time before there was an Instagram meetup for us (fake) vintage photo enthusiasts: The Depot Tavern is hosting one on Thursday, March 24 at 7 p.m.

We did some browsing for Minnesota users, via web.stagram and instagre.at (yes, those are actual URL's) and here's what we found:

MTV Hearts Doomtree

They do, they do! Here, see for yourself: MTV featured Doomtree as no.1 band SXSW Band You Need to Know saying:

Dessa, P.O.S, Cecil Otter, Mike Michtlan, SIMS and the rest of the Doomtree crew blew up like a Dumpster full of dynamite, showcasing enough collective energy, rhythm, hustle and flow to make us wonder why these guys (and girl!) aren't playing the Super Bowl halftime show.

Good job guys!
