Yes, people, it's true: the Purple One casually strolled into First Ave Friday night to check out Gayngs who were having a fantastic time entertaining delighted fans in tuxedos and prom dresses. Prince, according to several witnesses, had a guitar around his neck and was (possibly) thinking about playing, but decided not to. " They don't need me up there" were his

ReplyDeletethat show was totally bunk. Gayngs were wasted, started super late and it was a giant waste of time. Oh and the reason Prince didn't perform was because they did not introduce him (and yes that IS the reason he didn't perform)
ReplyDeleteWould have been awesome to see him on stage with the whole Gayngs crew but he can't expect to just jam with a band who barely had time to rehearse themselves...great he was there supporting the scene.
ReplyDeleteEither way, it means A LOT that Prince even showed up -- and considering there is a Gayng's member in one of the pics pointing at the stage we expect he knew he was welcome! COOL!

ReplyDeleteLooks like Prince to me... However, none of these are frontal shots of his face? And it wouldn't surprise me that they hired a look-a-like to get some buzz about their band, etc. If so, I'm sure we'll find the truth soon enough if this was a hoax.
ReplyDeleteDear Jerks, Gayngs members may have had some drinks, but they were not wasted. I'm with Chase--the show was a blast! Everyone around me was having fun, singing along, dancing, cheering, etc. Maybe you should get your head out of your ass and stop being so pretentious.
