Max Sparber writes ode to Steven Slater on Metafilter, some other guy puts music to it

Ah, the power of the internet. So by now you've probably heard about the disgruntled JetBlue flight attendant who flipped out on a rude passenger, made an expletive-filled announcement over the plane's loudspeaker and promptly busted open a hatch, slid down the emergency slide onto JFK's tarmac and went home.

Well, the internet is (of course) heralding flight attendant Steven Slater for his epic resignation, and Minneapolis' own Max Sparber (of Dirty Curls fame) took to Metafilter this morning with a cleverly written ode to Slater, and four mere hours later, some other random guy took Sparber's lyrics and transformed them into a Ben Folds Five-ish ballad.

Oh, internet...we love you.

UPDATE: The Sparber-penned tune got a shout out on CNN:
