Gawker Rips On Minnesotans

Well, if this isn't the most offensive thing we've ever read about Minnesota, we don't know what is.

News anchor Annie Stensrud of KEYC-TV Mankato, Minn., had some trouble getting through her broadcast on Sunday. Like, could-barely-get-through-a-sentence, slurring-every-third-word trouble. I figured she was drunk, until someone reminded me that most Minnesotans talk funny and have difficulty forming simple thoughts, and that Stensrud's inner Lena was coming out. The most likely scenario, to be honest, is that she's both drunk and Minnesotan, which is a fairly common state of affairs in Minnesota.

Thanks @165harvester for the tip

Gawker picks up on MIA billboard vandal news

The recent vandalism of the MIA billboard advertising the new "Titian: And the Golden Age of Venetian Painting" exhibition has made national news, being reported in Associated Press and now New York news/gossip blog Gawker.

Despite museum officials encouraging the billboard to remain in its graffitied state, Venus has since been gone back to her nude form, thanks to the billboard company's policy regarding vandalism.

Gayngs makes Gawker's top 15 songs of the year list

After a slew of national year-end nods from the likes of Pitchfork and NPR, "No Sweat" by Gayngs was one of 15 songs that made Gawker's Favorite Music of 2010 list.

They say:

"Listen to while: Coming down from your 18-hour coke binge; locking yourself in your room for a few days to think about art; not wearing clothes when you talk to your servants.
Accompany with: Vicodin, red wine, circles under your eyes"

LOL! You can stream the track at Gawker.

(Also, they made #22 on the Guardian UK's top albums of the year list...we somehow missed it when it came out a couple of weeks ago.)
