Lynx Are The Champions

The Minnesota Lynx won the franchise's first WNBA title and made a lot of local sport fans very, very happy. Coincidentally, hours before the big win Grantland.com named Minneapolis the saddest sports city in America. Ha! Here's the Twitter recap:

If you want to give our girls the high fives they deserve, you can do that on Tuesday. A parade along Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis will be held at 11:30 a.m. A rally at Target Center is to follow at 12:15pm.

Bon Iverson?

LOL. We caught wind of this last night via Twitter, and though the only post on BonIverson.com so far is the funny video below, we did find this little blurb via their facebook page that generally explains it: "Bon Iverson is a blog dedicated to publishing detailed analysis and opinions on sports and popular culture, run by four guys who like those kinds of things."

So there you have it.

Packers fans create cheese snow sculpture

Hot off the news of Lil Wayne's Green Bay Packers anthem, photographer Carlos Gonzalaz spotted this tasty treat on the streets of Minneapolis: a snow sculpture cut into the shape of a hunk of cheese, in honor of the Packers. Hope that coloring is biodegradable.

Vikings fans, you're up.
