Today, MPLS.TV dropped another hilariously-executed animated interview in anticipation of tonight's epic Love Power electronic/rock show. Today's is with the show's co-conspirator and experimental electronic performer Albert Elmore (aka JON JACOB 3/LO MATTIN/Beat Takahashi/SMAK 10 thousand/Never Say DJ Fred Equipment/James St Murder Laden Mitten Wonder/DJ TJ PUBERT/DJ JC PENNEY/Autechre 2/DJ Dan Druff) and MPLS.TV's Hannah Silk Champagne.

MPLS.TV interviews Love Power lineup

OMG + LOL! We just caught wind of a new series of hilar animated interviews MPLS.TV is doing leading up to the epic electronic show on Friday at Love Power, which will include sets from Marijuana Deathsquads, Slapping Purses, Ghostband, Mystery Palace, STNNNG, Albert Elmore and a bunch more. The first interview, made with the voice-activated xtranormal movie maker, is with party starter and Moon Goon Jonathan Ackerman and MPLS.TV's Hannah Silk Champagne (who, by the way, has the best name in the universe).

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled to www.mpls.tv for more interviews to come, including one with experimental electronic artist Albert Elmore.

GAYNGS' Ryan Olson + Justin Vernon share year-end lists with Pitchfork

Justin Vernon (Bon Iver, GAYNGS) and Ryan Olson (GAYNGS and Marijuana Deathsquads) were included in Pitchfork's massive year-end Guest List. Olson name drops some locals: Nick and Eddie Wednesday nights (where Marijuana Deathsquads had a regular residency for a good part of the year) and Albert Elmore, a local IDM artist/noise experimentalist, while Vernon lists GAYNGS cohorts and Eau Claire band Megafaun.

Here's a link to an mp3 of Elmore's track "Lannistumaton," which Olson calls his pick for Song of the Year.
