But just in case you're lookin' for a little local history lesson, you've come to the right place. Back in 1979 Tom Bartel and Kris Henning founded a little music rag called Sweet Potato. Eventually they founded City Pages, then The Rake which turned into the online Secrets of the City. In other words, if it weren't for Bartel and Henning, the Twin Cities wouldn't be nearly as cool. The independent publishing duo moved to Ecuador last year and are out of the biz--though we'd never go so far as to use the term "Golden Years" in their vicinity.
Today, Henning re-posted this little gem from the Sweet Potato days unearthed by the Nokohaha blog. Funny!
