Local artistic directors get the fake Twitter treatment

Everybody likes a good fake Twitter account. Proof? Check out the accounts for fake Steve Jobs, fake LeBron James and of course, there's the fake Jason DeRusha. Joining them this month are Bain Boehlke, artistic director of the Jungle Theater and Joe Dowling, Artistic Director for the Guthrie Theater. Boehlke's fake Twitter bio says; "All of my chakras are spinning", and Dowling's simply says: "I run the Guthrie Theater. LIKE A BOSS." LOL!

Really though, it's because of the years and years of hard work by people like Boehlke and Dowling that the Twin Cities is so often recognized as theater hot spot on a national level -- and that helps all of us. Hopefully they both have a good sense of humor!

@realjoedowling: This is my first twittering. Someone should probably tell the Star Tribune.

@realjoedowling: Fascinated with this #mnfringe phenomenon. Might go to the Fringe-for-All at the Ritz tonight. Trish! Fetch me my shanty loafers!

@realjoedowling: Read that Bedlam Theatre is being thrown out of its current space. Not sure I understand the problem. Can't they just build a new one?

@Bainforest: So, @realjoedowling, 5 more years, eh? I suppose someone needs to keep Dickens' name in the papers...

@Bainforest: Every time I drive past downtown, I wonder why there's an Ikea on the river. Then I remember that's where @realjoedowling lives. And I smile
