Jeremy Messersmith writes Vikings Fight Song

A new trend perhaps? Hot on the heels of Prince's much talked-about "Purple & Gold" fight song (which we got the pre-exclusive exclusive on), one of our favorite local singer/songwriters, Jeremy Messersmith, was caught on video singing a charming tune dedicated to the Vikes.

Our pals at the Cake in 15 blog caught it on tape, of course!

Jeremy Messersmith covers Snoop Dogg

LOL/OMG correspondent @caerickson attended the hush-hush Jeremy Messersmith show on Sunday night put on by Cakein15.com and reported back that the talented tunesmith covered the Snoop Dogg track "Murder was the Case."

The theme to the double header show (which only allowed for 35 fans per each show) was "Murder & Death" and featured Messersmith performing unfinished material and ballads about, well, murder and death. He took requests from fans, who submitted their suggestions via Facebook prior to the event -- and Ryan Paul Plewacki's request for Snoop made the cut!
