Want to know who's playing the next installment of WAMplified?

The Weisman announced via Facebook the special guests for the next edition of the popular late night WAMplified art/music series: none other than local hometown heroes, Solid Gold! But before you say "I've seen SG five times already this year!" factor this into the equation: rumor has it that the boys will be testing out alternative compositions that you wont get a taste of at any other Solid Gold show!

Tickets for this cool event held within the amazing confines of the Frank Gehry designed Weisman -- one of our fave artsy landmarks in town -- will surely sell out quickly. So don't delay in scooping yours up! Also included in the evening are free dranx, a video game lounge, a gallery tour with curator Diane Mullin and artist Diane Willow, art-related shenanigans and oh-so-much more.

Har Mar Superstar to play next WAMplified!

The Weisman just posted a Facebook event for the next late night WAMplified series and the headliner is....HAR MAR SUPERSTAR! The show is on April 3rd, and if this one is anything like the Mates of State show last month, we anticipate it will sell out fast!

The Facebook event says:

"Music is at the center of WAMplified!, a new late-night series at the Weisman. Offered three times a year, WAMplified! presents a live performance by a band or musician with a thematic connection to the major exhibition in the galleries. In conjunction with the exhibition Common Sense: Art and the Quotidian, Har Mar Superstar headlines this installment. Each WAMplified! event also includes food, drink, a video game lounge, and a midnight tour of the exhibition led by a curator or artist. Read more about the music at harmarsuperstar.com"
