Oprah, Beyonce, Taylor Swift perform at Target's managers meeting

Earlier today the Target Center played host to Target's annual managers meeting, which has been known to book a celeb performer or two. The super-exclusive event was covered by Star Tribune's Jon Bream here, and the astounding musical lineup featured a very preggers Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Tony Bennett, Alison Krauss, and Willow Smith. Also in the house were Shaun White and OPRAH MOTHEREFFING WINFREY, who spoke during the meeting.

Missonimania Hits Minneapolis

Missoni for Target madness hit Minneapolis, aka Targetville this morning. It hit it hard. Some of you got lucky, most of you didn't. Here's the Twitter recap.

This is what most of you encountered if you visited Target after 10 a.m. But look who got lucky. Real lucky.

And here's the photo of Little Marina, taken by Emma Berg at Downtown Target early this morning. We have no clue why they call her Little, she's 25 feet tall.

MTV hearts Solid Gold

Though local darlings Solid Gold have been pretty quiet for the past year, they've been hard at work on a new album and playing the occasional live show. Despite the lack of activity, MTV has featured the band on their "Bands We Like" blog. The reviewer writes: "I was lucky enough to see them perform a batch of new tunes live recently, and one song was notably much louder and aggressive than their previous efforts (in the best way possible). Having heard these new tunes, I predict this new effort from them could be my 'Album of the Year.'" We think so, too.
