WAMarchy Time Lapse Video

Stephen Stephens of Digital Crush Photography whipped up this little gem of a time lapse video taken at the Weisman Art Museum's closing party on Saturday. Presented by the museum and our sister site, l'etoile, WAMarchy was a museum-wide break-all-the-rules art blowout that included art creation stations, an interactive graffiti wall and mural, punk rock tunes, projection installations, food and lots (and lots) of drinks.

Check out l'etoile's review of the event complete with plenty of pictures and details here.

This Dosh vid is cool.

We're a bit slow catching wind of this, but Dosh's new video for "Airlift" is pretty rad.

Blue Sky Blackout posts a new teaser

Local supergroup Blue Sky Blackout posted a rockin' teaser trailer via Facebook/Twitter today in promotion of their soon-to-be released digital 3-side (on Susstones). The 3-side will be available on April 13th as a free download. Having seen these guys play live, there's no doubt in our minds that they'll soon be topping bills and taking names all over the Twin Cities.

We think David De Young of HowWasTheShow.com put it best when he said: "If there’s such a thing as good cholesterol, perhaps there’s such a thing as good testosterone. Every time I see the six members of Blue Sky Blackout on stage, I can’t help but think: damn, that’s a lot of dudes. And cool, fashionable dudes at that, who know how to rock."

An official release party is planned for early May, but BSB will also be the first band to kick off the annual Voltage: Fashion Amplified show at First Avenue on Friday, April 16th. Way to usher yourselves in, guys!

New Zoo Animal vid = Awesome

OMG. We love, love, love the new Zoo Animal vid for "Sailor" (as remixed by Mark McGee of To Kill a Petty Bourgeoisie). So moody and cool! And it's really no wonder, considering how beautiful the song is, and the fact that it was directed by Lamb Lays with Lion visionary, Jeremy Catterton, and shot and produced by the film gurus at Northern Outpost.
